Planning exactly a year ahead, Martyn Harvey has been confirmed as the caller
with Steamchicken on 11th May 2012.

April 2011:
Our 2011 / 2012 season is now showing on the front page - and a sneak preview of
our 2012 / 2013 in the form of Blackbeard's Tea Party in October.

Peter Bearon has been confirmed as the caller for our May 13th ceilidh with
Peeping Tom.

Barry Goodman has been confirmed as the caller for our March 11th ceilidh with
Random.

Toothless Mary have had to cancel their booking for 11/02/2011. In their
place we are pleased to announce the Phoenix debut of Panjandrum, with caller
Gordon Potts.

Some minor site updates - on 12/11/2010 we present Blackbeard's Tea
Party with caller Martyn Harvey, and also Cate Bannister is the caller with
Ceilidhography on 08/04/2011. 4/2011.

The caller with The Watch on Friday will be Liam Robertson, not Andrew Swaine as
previously advertised. And Toothless Mary are playing in February 2011, not
January. Apologies to Liam, Andrew Swaine, Toothless Mary, and anyone else who
is inconvenienced or discombobulated by these turns of events. Actually I seem
to have spent a lot of time apologising for minor errors on this website

Peeping Tom's next appearance at the Phoenix Ceilidhs has been rearranged for
13th May 2011, when the weather should be a bit better than it was when we had
to cancel last month ...

With the country in the grip of the worst snow in many years, we have taken the
decision to cancel the ceilidh with Peeping Tom on 8th January 2010. Please
contact us regarding any pre-purchased tickets.

Please note that the date for the February ceilidh with Chalktown is now Friday
19th February, NOT the 12th as previously stated on this website and on some of
our publicity. Apologies for any confusion.

Peter Bearon will be calling with Peeping Tom on 8th January 2010. Meanwhile,
details of the ceilidhs up until April 2011 are now up on the calendar page.
02 March 2009:
Diaries at the ready - the whole 2009-2010 season is now up on the events page,
starting with the return of All Blacked Up on Friday 9th October.
18 April 2008:
Apologies to Roger Smith of Random, who was alarmed to see himself shown here as
being the caller for their ceilidh on 10th October despite never having called a
dance before in his life. The caller for Random on 10th October is, and always
has been, Martyn Harvey.
05 April 2008:
The site has had a lick of paint and a design refresh. Apologies if there are
any broken links caused by the refurbishment: if you do come across one please
email me and let me know. I do know that the fading image graphic doesn't
look half as good in Internet Explorer 6 as it does in other newer browsers,
sorry about that.
25 March 2008:
Callers for the 2008/09 season have now all been confirmed and are on the diary
page. Please note that some ticket prices increase from the October 2008 ceilidh
onwards.

Somehow or other we seem to have booked a good deal of 2009's bands already, so
details are now up here on the website!
