uk.music.folk FAQ - update history ---------------------------------- This is not the FAQ for uk.music.folk itself - that's at http://www.lesession.co.uk/umf/umf_faq.htm and, though I say so myself, a very fine and much-loved document it is too. This is the update log - it probably doesn't make a great deal of sense without cross-referencing to the FAQ, and this document is only online at all in case anyone happens to be interested. Although the FAQ started in November 2001, I didn't actually start keeping note of the changes myself until ... May 2002: A new URL for information on PELs / 'two in a bar' A new section, on the Dave Bulmer / Celtic Music Distribution saga June 2002: Andy Seagroatt gets to have his name spelt right in the credits - sorry Andy! An update to the section on folk on the radio, c/o Phil Myers. 8th July : (Section 15.6) A new section, with links to online resources for anyone thinking of starting a folk club. 9th July : (Section 12) Added a link to the Melodyhound tune identification website. 18th July : (Section 17) Section on PELs updated to include a link to the Kim Howells / Mike Harding interview. 17th August : (Section 17) Section on PELs updated to include a link to the ActionForMusic website. 20th September : New section 24 - what's the difference between a reel and a jig? (when I say them they're *both* jigs but that's another story) ;-) Thanks and a gold star to Paul Docherty for spotting that one. 31st October: Updated section 17 on PELs to include a gratuitous reference to Kim Howells' recent addition of modern art to the things he hates .... 3rd November : The FAQ moved to a home on VCISP - which was meant to last a lot longer than five months ... 3rd November: The numbering had got out of sync - there are now no longer two Section 25s.
